For although search engines are attracted to sites that have plenty of links, they are more likely to place a higher value on links that are featured on on topic posts and articles, as opposed to those that come from blog directories. The question that this all brings up is how do I find blog directories to submit my blog to? A simple online search for "blog directory" will actually get you hundreds of potential directories to check out. In fact, many of the better blog directories came in at the top of the search results pages. I have often run into blog directories that require me to post backlinks or impose certain other requirements. I tend to shy away from those blog directories, and instead I tried to submit my blog to blog directories that were a lot less rigid.
