The first step in using your desktop scanner will be to install the scanner software. Without the scanner software, you would not have the programs needed for your scanner to transfer and store digital images. The scanning process begins once the scanner software is installed. Next, you will lift the lid of the scanner, placing your document face down on the glass window. You may shut the lid and click the scan button once your document is placed on the glass window.
